Those who want to relax can bring the whole family to a Class A baseball game with the Kane County Cougars. Reminisce at the historic Arcada Theater where a 1926 Vaudeville theater comes to life with concerts, films and special events. Visit the Durant House Museum, an authentically restored and furnished 1843 prairie farm house with costumed interpreters who demonstrate mid-19th century farm life. Or your hand at the Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin or Hollywood Casino in Aurora.
Looking for a bargain or two? Stop by the Kane County Flea Market, located at the Kane County Fair Grounds. Shop ‘till you drop at Charlestown Mall or take in a movie at the 18 screen cinema with stadium seating. Additional shopping is located in down town St. Charles and Geneva with its historic downtown housing many unique boutiques. Geneva Commons, filled with restaurants and stores is just a short drive away. For the bargain hunters, Chicago Premium Outlets is in nearby Aurora. For the best in entertainment, enjoy an intimate theater experience at The Steel Beam Theater, located directly across the street form the Hotel Baker. The Norris Cultural Center, Theater and Art Gallery is a 1,000 seat live theater providing family entertainment for more than 20 years.
